Yukon

On January 25, 2024 the Yukon government approved the Yukon Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Regulation which requires the Producers of lubricating oil, antifreeze, oil filters and automotive containers to develop an EPR plan and implement a program by July 1, 2025.

Over the next 18 months, Interchange Recycling will be engaging with stakeholders and consulting on an EPR Plan for submission on behalf of its members to the Yukon Government for approval.

For the past two years Interchange Recycling has been following the development of the Yukon EPR Regulation—which is very similar to the British Columbia EPR Regulation— through webinars and in-person meetings.
