Future Forward

Interchange is proud to introduce Future Forward, our dedicated youth program designed to educate, engage, and empower young people across British Columbia. We believe that a sustainable future begins with today’s youth, and that’s why we’ve developed a program focused on environmental education and stewardship.

The name Future Forward reflects our commitment to building a greener tomorrow by supporting and guiding the environmental leaders of the next generation. It represents our vision of progress, innovation, and collective responsibility for protecting our planet.

As part of the program, we’ve created a range of educational resources and opportunities to inspire youth of all ages:

• ‘The Tomorrow Grant’ Scholarship Program – Supporting post-secondary students who demonstrate a passion for environmental advocacy and a commitment to sustainability in their studies or community involvement.
• Curriculum Resource Package – A teacher-friendly toolkit designed to bring environmental sustainability into the classroom, an overview of the Interchange Recycling program, what happens to materials after they are collected, and the importance of recycling used oil and antifreeze, all aligned with BC curriculum standards.
• Kids Activity Booklet – A fun, interactive guide for younger students to learn about recycling, pollution prevention, and taking care of the planet.

Through Future Forward, we aim to spark meaningful conversations and lasting habits that lead to a cleaner, more sustainable world. By educating youth today, we’re investing in a brighter, greener future for all.
