Yukon
The Yukon EPR Regulation requires the Producers (Stewards) of lubricating oil, antifreeze, oil filters diesel exhaust fluid and automotive containers to develop an EPR plan and implement a program by July 1, 2025. Interchange Recycling is currently engaging with stakeholders and consulting on a Plan that will be submitted to the Yukon Government for approval in September 2024.
All organizations doing business in Yukon are asked to Register with Interchange Recycling Yukon by completing the Yukon Participation Agreement and submitting it to accounting@interchangerecycling.com.

How much is the Environmental Handling Charge (EHC) in Yukon?
In order to assist with the development of the Stewardship Plan, Interchange Recycling has implemented the following Yukon Planning Fee effective July 1, 2024. Payments for 2024 Q3 and Q4 will be due by January 31, 2025:
- For lubricating oil – $0.02 per litre
- For filters – $0.13 per unit
- For antifreeze – $0.05 per litre for premix and concentrate
- For containers – $0.04 per litre of container size
The EHC for implementing the Plan will be determined when the Plan is approved by the Yukon Government (anticipated early 2025) and the full requirements are known.
