Used Oil Recycling Depot in Grand Forks Gets an Upgrade

News

We are excited to announce that the Grand Forks Bottle Depot on 8058 Donaldson Dr has received new recycling infrastructure. This location has received a 20ft sea container with a  2,200 litre tank to store program materials.

“Our ability to properly recycle and re-introduce used materials back into B.C.’s circular economy is important work that requires efficient infrastructure to enable the safe collection, handling and storage,” said David Lawes, CEO, Interchange Recycling. “This new infrastructure will help keep more automotive materials out of landfill, and will enable the hard working team at The Grand Forks Bottle Depot to collect materials from residents of Grand Forks.”

“With the addition of this new recycling infrastructure, we’re able to manage these automotive  materials more efficiently and safely,” said Vikas Soni, Director, Grand Forks Bottle Depot. “We’re now able to provide residents with a convenient, close to home solution to recycle materials such as used motor oil and antifreeze, ensuring they are properly handled and kept out of our environment and our local waterways.
