Upgraded used oil and antifreeze recycling centre opens in Abbotsford
• NewsWe are pleased to announce that the GFL Environmental Depot located at 34613 Vye Road, Abbotsford has been updated. This upgraded facility now has two new 2,200 litre used oil storage tanks and one 1,100 litre tank for the responsible collection and storage of returned used oil and antifreeze materials.
“The GFL Environmental Depot in Abbotsford earned the second spot on our Top Collector Awards list for 2022,” said David Lawes, CEO, Interchange Recycling. “I am really proud of this depot and how they have continued to operate our program through their business. Our ability to properly recycle and re-introduce used materials back into B.C.’s circular economy is important work that requires growing infrastructure to enable safe collection, handling, and storage.”
“We’re a busy depot and this upgraded infrastructure will allow us to keep even more used oil, used antifreeze and their containers out of the environment,” said Don Mahew, GFL Environmental Depot, Abbotsford.
