Video Series Highlights Our Reach and Results

At Interchange Recycling we know the work we do wouldn’t be possible without the support of our more than 300 members. We also know that in addition to our strong collection totals and recovery rates, we have many other good news stories to share.

Over the past 20 years (yes, we’ve got a big birthday in 2023!) we’ve established an innovative and successful business model that is gaining recognition around the world. As a global leader in our field, we believe success stories like ours need to be shared. And that’s why we’ve created a series of short videos that demonstrates the reach and results of our association’s hard work through the voices of industry experts, empowered citizens and key team members.

We know that through close collaboration with our key stakeholders, our Association helps prevent automotive fluids and materials from harming the environment and instead, turns them into something useful. Working together we’re improving the environmental and economic outcomes of everyone. It’s what we call moving forward through balance.

Collaborating with First Nations

Remote communities face big challenges when it comes to environmental protection and accessing public services such as recycling. The story of the Ehattesaht Nation, Lyle Billy, Stephanie Valdal and Ryan Foster is just one of several collaborations between First Nations and our association.

Our Role in the Circular Economy

Every one of our members contributes to BC’s Circular Economy. And, almost every British Columbian directly benefits from the process. Industry experts, Tim Reeve, Ella Playfair and Jamie Turner detail the symbiotic relationship of used oil in the circular economy.

Helping Our Members & Communities

Every day, tens of thousands of British Columbians benefit from our Infrastructure Program to keep used oil, oil filters, antifreeze and their containers out of landfills. And every day, local businesses and communities grow stronger and healthier because of our members’ commitment and support.
