Likely Landfill in Cariboo Receives New Infrastructure for Used Oil Recycling
• RCF Program
We are very excited to announce that the Likely Landfill, located at 6507 Keithley Creek Road, has received new recycling infrastructure. The facility received a 10ft sea container and a 1,100-litre tank for used oil collection.
“Used motor oil is the perfect recyclable product, if it’s collected and returned properly,” said David Lawes, CEO, Interchange Recycling. “The safe disposal and recycling of these hazardous materials leads to a sustainable future, as this helps keep our environment safe. After collection, the material is recycled and can be used again to reduce consumption of virgin materials.”
“The Cariboo Regional District has been working with Interchange Recycling since 2018 to provide used oil collection to the residents of Likely. We are pleased to be the recipient of new recycling infrastructure that will allow us to continue this important service,” said Tera Grady, Manager of Solid Waste, Cariboo Regional District.
Interchange Recycling would like to acknowledge that their head office in Victoria is located on the traditional territory of the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations, and Coast Salish people.
