Empty Automotive Container Expansion

Following approval from the BC Ministry of Environment and Parks, Interchange Recycling is expanding the product list in British Columbia to include all automotive containers.

Automotive containers are defined in the 2025 BC Recycling Regulation Amendment as any containers that hold fluids, gels, greases, waxes, creams, and aerosols designed for use in the maintenance or repair of a motor vehicle. Interchange Recycling’s BC Extended Producer Responsibility Plan covers these regulated categories of materials, as further described in Regulation Schedules 1 and 2.
